Presently in 2025 we find ourselves putting in the finishing touches.
The hold and coaming has been repaired and painted internally and new aluminium deck hatch cover supports have been installed to support the hatch boards.
Since 2022, the steam winch has been fastened to the foredeck and new steam pipes fabricated to take steam under the deck al the way to the foredeck.
Sampson posts have recently been made for the foredeck. A voice-pipe from the wheelhouse to the engine room has been installed so that Macphail can be asked for more steam. Mechanical controls from the wheelhouse to the engine room have also been fabricated and installed.
A small 240V 6KVA water cooled generator has been installed in the engine room, and similarly out of keeping, solar panels have been placed on the roof of the wheelhouse to keep batteries in good condition.
The seal behind the propellor has had the white metal face repaired. The rudder has been fitted with new pintles and bearings.
The paint below the waterline has been profiled and another coat of primer applied followed by a tie-coat and then antifoul.
